The NC Digital Collections features content from the State Library of North Carolina’s Government and Heritage Library, State Archives of North Carolina, and North Carolina state agencies, from different time periods for educational and research purposes. Providing broad access to North Carolina’s historical record as it was originally recorded or published is important for research. You may encounter terms or images that are hurtful to you or set off strong emotional responses. We share this message because we care about your experience on the site and want to strike a balance between transparency, access, and inclusivity for our users.
